The accredited school of Vocational Training  Compostela is a public education institution with vocational Cycles with the Families: Catering and Tourism, Sociocultural and Community Services and Graphic Arts.

Due to the long Touristic tradition studies and specially of Catering, in which most of the training offer is based, we consider languages and new technologies related with the productive sectors of our vocational training families  as the mainstay of the students´s  learning and for the permanent training of teachers. Around these basis our institution organizes an strategy based on the points below:

Erasmus program has the aim to help the needs of teaching and training of all the students of Vocational High Grade Cycles, never mind the length of the studies, even those of doctorate,and the institutions which teach this kind of training.

  • Students mobilities for studies

Fulfillment of a period of studies in a high education institution in another European country

  • Students mobilities for traineeship

Fulfillment of a period of traineeship for a certain time in a company or organization in another European country

  • Teaching Staff mobility 

Mobility of teachers belonging to high education institutions and companies for  teaching

  • Staff mobility for training

Mobility for teachers and other staff of high grade institutions to receive training

Member selection

The experience of students mobility to other countries, that our school has, is mainly focused in the experience adquired since two years ago.

Our school has a lot of experiences together with other European schools, previously to the participation in European programs.

The contacts that we had along these past years allow our school to have a lot of. members with which we have signed agreements with detailed conditions to fulfill the traineeship of. students , tutorizing, accommodation of. students, certificates, etc..These companies and institutions with proved professionality along the years will be priorities for future cooperation agreements in the mobilities of. our students.

The opinions about other schools experiences related to our productive sectors will be taken into account.

Geographic priorities in the selection of. Destinies

In order to the selection of. destinies, the previous experiences will be taken into account, together with the possibility of. practising languages taught in our school, the working opportunities for our students, and the possibility of. offering innovative traineeship to our students

We see as preferences for our mobilities the following countries: Portugal, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, and Malta, and we might be open to new possibilities in a near future in Croacia, Eslovaquia or Cyprus, and to any other country of. the European Community with which we think we could fulfill interesting interchange of. knowledge on catering , touristic accommodation and training for the childhood education.

Sector priorities

Sector priorities, establishing contacts of. great interest for our own mobilities with the hotel chains, restaurant chains, Galician associations in the countries of. The European Community , catering schools and childhood education.


Objectives we try to achieve with our mobilities:

  • A- Adquire cultural knowledge related to our Professional families of. Catering and Tourism and Sociocultural Services to The Community
  • B- Adquire a complementary training to help the students to incorporate to the working world
  • C- To boost and improve the linguistic knowledge of. students and teachers
  • D- Motivate and stimulate the students community to improve their learning
  • E- To support the colaboration between high grade institutions with those of. vocational training schools, in order to promote joint programs of. studies and mobilities to fulfill among various countries
  • F- To improve the quality of. the mobilities encouraging the transparency, mutually recognizing the validity of. titles, the training periods and the transfer of. credits
  • G- To support the colaboration between the public and prívate organizations which work in high grade education and the vocational education, to promote the interchange of. experiences and support the mobilities among the teachers in those countries
  • H- To fulfill interchanges of. educational resources between the teachers of. those countries
  • I- To sensitize the staff and the students in the need to be learning continuously , being open to new tendencies in the markets
  • J- To promote the sense of. personal and Professional responsibility in the staff and the students , respecting the others´ rights and showing a colaboration spirit with their colleagues
  • K- To promote the integral development of. the staff and the students
  • L- To promote the enterprising education through the business experiences of. the members

Groups of scholar community to which the mobilities are directed

1- Students of. High Grade Kitchen Management, Catering Services Management, Touristic Lodgings Management and Childhood Education

2- Teachers who are teaching in the Vocational Studies mentioned above

3- Non teaching staff able to receive training to improve their efficiency in the tasks they fulfill in their schools.


Methodology to fulfill projects with other schools

As Integrated Vocational School, the Projects of Innovation, Cooperation, staff and students mobilities, are framed in the Quality and Innovation Area, depending on the VicePrincipal who is in charge of assigning supporting tasks to the Quality and Innovation Departments. In this Department the coordination of teacher Innovation and Training are integrated as well as TICs which usually develop the projects of our school, according to the current rules where the autonomy of the Direction is recognized to organize the necessary timetable to optimize the development of the programs mentioned.

Our CIFP focuses its interests in the coordination of mutual projects with other schools, based on a team work, coordination, communication, settling the consolidation of contacts, so the methodologic lines which we use are based on:

  • Team work, coordination and communication among the different members to fulfill the following activities:
     Planning the project homogenizing criteria and processes of implementation of activities.
     Organizing a contacts plan which makes an information interchange by e-mail, marking the time and day of the week to make the mentioned contact
     Checking and updating the applicable rules.
  • Incorporation of the students to the project, the reception session of the different participants in the activity:Organization and fulfilling a welcome session for the different members of the project
  • Gathering, organization, management, and writing the different materials and documents referred to the project, and the final report:
  • The CIFP will include the project in the annual report of the school, what will make easier its spreading to the educational community

Expected impact of the participation in the program

The CIFP Compostela understands the participation in the Erasmus Program as an opportunity to improve the abilities and skills of the staff and the students, promoting mobility projects, professional improvement and cooperation in an European context.

On the other hand we think that spreading and announcing our experience in European Projects, is going to have a big influence in the number of students to join our school and the studies taking part in these mobilities. At the same time the businessmen around our area of influence will be interested too, and the students themselves to start a career in the working world, what will ease their access to their first job.

At the same time , we think that the possibility of contacts and collaboration with qualified professionals of vocational training in the companies around our area, are an opportunity which we will try to take and to boost, because we trust in the continous training and improving the teaching task of our school thanks to the possibility and interchange of knowledge and experiences which will make a better quality of our studies and update and improve the methodology of our staff for the mobilities.A basic element for this is to encourage the permanent learning and the ability to adapt to the social , organizing and technologic changes present in the productive sectors of our society.

We will try, this way, to establish an area of cooperation between the High Grade vocational training system and the surrounding working sector, to develop and spread a culture of permanent training, to contribute to the prestige of Vocational training.

Ending to indicate that the CIFP understands that the previous ideas will help to promote the real and effective equality between sexes, with special relevance for the prejudice erradication in the training, labour and working team inserction of different professionals.
